Roger Thomas

Roger is one of Cedar City’s premier general contractors. With extensive industry experience, he has held leadership roles in prominent firms, including Division Manager for Burke Construction Group in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he oversaw multi-million-dollar budgets and ensured projects were delivered on time and under budget, and Junior Partner at Lang Wyatt Construction, a regional commercial contractor in Tucson, Arizona. Roger was Operations Manager at Lantana, a high-end architectural design-build firm, where he developed expertise in overseeing complex projects and driving operational excellence. Starting as a framer in high school, Roger’s hands-on experience and leadership roles have given him a comprehensive understanding of the construction industry and exceptional problem-solving skills.

Roger proudly served in the U.S. Navy as a nuclear engineer, where he was selected as one of the youngest Chief Petty Officers in his command. He then received a commission in the U.S. Air Force Reserves and retired as a Major in 2020 after 26 years of faithful service. A dedicated community leader, Roger is a member of the Iron County Planning Commission, where he has also served as Chairman, and is a Past President of the Iron County Home Builder’s Association. He is an active Rotarian and Chamber of Commerce member. Roger holds multiple professional certifications, including LEED Accreditation, NAHB Certified Green Builder, NAHB Certified Aging in Place Specialist, and PHIUS Passive House Certified Builder.

Also, Dakota Landings Hotel and Prairie Vista Apartments in Williston, ND; and Cocopah Hotel & Casino in Yuma, AZ. These projects, along with Mountain Springs Preparatory Academy and Moonridge Academy commercial developments in Cedar City, UT, showcase his ability to deliver exceptional results across diverse markets.
