Happening on the second Saturday of October each year, the fest is an annual fundraiser for the town’s volunteer fire department. The event is free to attend and includes live music, food trucks, games, mechanical bull riding, and fire safety demonstrations throughout the day. And, of course, the Apple Fest wouldn’t be complete without the beloved New Harmony apples.

Nearby City Resources
While there are some local businesses in New Harmony, you’ll have to venture out of the town for shopping, entertainment, and dining. Luckily, there are several cities nearby that include all of that and much more. Just 10 miles away is another small town, Kanarraville, which features a snackery, boutique hotel, restaurant, and antique shop. For even more amenities and things to do, drive 25 minutes northeast to Cedar City, Iron County’s largest city. The city is home to a slew of restaurants featuring international and homegrown cuisines – from Thai, Mexican and Indian meals to made-from-scratch dishes from local farms. You’ll also find museums, art galleries, and a downtown area filled with unique shops and coffee houses. If you’re looking for entertainment, Cedar City has it.
